The Similan Islands and neighbouring Surin Islands are, without a doubt, one of the Diving highlights of Thailand and indeed South East Asia as a whole, and a scuba dive live aboard on them is the best way to make the most the underwater world there.
Sitting off the West coast of Thailand, this marine park is made up of a group of 9 islands, all of which play host to some of the most spectacular Dive sites you could hope for and it’s got to be on the bucket list of any serious Scuba Diver.
Across the islands are a variety of sites, from huge granite boulders through to vast coral gardens, pinnacles to drift dives so there’s something to suit every dive taste.
With such a variety of underwater landscapes comes more marine life than you can shake a BCD at!
Whether your a fan of the macro life like Nudi Branches, Shrimps, Pipe Fish or like the bigger stuff (including Manta Rays and Whale Sharks, season permitting) everyone’s tastes and vices are catered for.
With water temperatures around 29 degrees and visibility frequently at the 25m+ mark, you’ll have no worries jumping into the water 4 times a day during your trip… Even if the 6am wake up comes as a bit of a shock!
“Simply put – it was awesome!”
Our Similan Live-Aboard Experience covers up to 19 Dives across and you have the option of 3, 4 or 5 nights on board – so you’ll be clocking up some serious time underwater and there’s something to suit every budget and time frame.
The spacious Dive boats offer 4 share, twin and double options, with plenty of space on the mid-deck to soak up the sun, fill out your log book or simply kick back with a beer and watch the sunset after your final Dive of the day.
Kitted out with on board compressors (you can add on Nitrox for an extra cost if you wish) the dive deck has plenty of space to get kitted up and offers easy water entry and exit (via dive platform and ladder) as well as hot showers.
Our team loved their time on this trip and the Instructors, Divemasters and Thai crew that will show you around this beautiful part of the world are as big a part of your epic experience as the island and Dive sites themselves, so it’s super handy that they’re a friendly bunch of people who will make your stay fun and enjoyable.
You will return back to land totally spoilt, shattered and smiley. With plenty of epic photos on your camera and Dives on your Dive watch. Whether you choose to travel solo, as a couple or a group, you’ll find good times, good Dives and good friends on board.
