Our 8 week Ski Instructor training course in Japan is set amongst some of the best and deepest powder in the world, with a winter average of a staggering 14 metres!

You’ll be based in the scenic town of Hirafu village, where you’ll be surrounded by numerous hot springs and a bustling international community with a large variety of places to eat out and plenty of options for things to do when you’re not on the slopes.

Although you can get by just fine on English in this part of Japan, there’s more than enough local culture and tradition to make the most of your stay in this amazing country.

You’ll share accommodation with your fellow trainees, be within walking distance of the biggest ski area (Grand Hirafu) and also the local onset hot spring. So ski and relaxation are both on your doorstep!

The big draw of this area, and obviously the most important detail for you, is the skiing! You’re course will take you through everything you need to successfully gain your international qualifications (NZSIA Level 1 and 2). Helping you push your ski knowledge further, fine tuning your turns and skills and making sure you emerge as a confident and competent instructor, ready to travel the world and pass on the thrills and spills of the sport to many new faces.

You will be coached throughout by instructors who are NZSIA trainers and examiners themselves, o the guys teaching you on the ground know exactly what is required to pass your qualifications!

A combination of on slope training, video analysis and evening sessions, combined with freestyle training, will give you a better knowledge of your own limits and also round out your skill set.

With access to 4 resorts on a single included pass (An’nupuri, Niseko Village, Hirafu and Hanazono) and with flood lit pistes rideable until 8:30pm each night, you can easily clock up 12 hours on the slope a day. You will be spoilt for conditions throughout your stay.

With maximum piste time and epic amounts of fresh powder, you’ll find a new found addiction to the slopes which will set you up perfectly on your new career path. You’ll have heaps of post-qualification support from the instructors vast connections and knowledge, giving you the best possible start to your new lifestyle.
