If you’re looking to make the piste your office and you have a real passion for powder, our 11 week Ultimate Snowboard Instructor Course in Banff, Canada is the best way to get you set up for a career in the snow!
Banff itself is world renowned for its epic snow conditions, offering over 8 000 acres of terrain to explore, top notch training, incredible scenery and of course a great vibe and nightlife.
Over the 11 week course you’ll be snowboarding in the heart of the Banff snow scene at the Lake Louise Ski Resort — 4 200 acres packed full of world class powder runs year round (due to the inland location) — perfect to lay down some fresh tracks no matter what your snowboarding ability.
You’ll have the opportunity to gain up to 5 qualifications, which will give you the best possible starting block to your career in the snowboard industry — it’s one of the most inclusive courses out there and will set you up perfectly for life on the slopes.
These include the world recognised CSIA Levels 1 and 2, which allow you to teach beginner to intermediate snowboarders, and even AST Level 1 Avalanche Skills training, which is a great extra on any snowboard CV.
Throughout your Snowboard Instructor Course you’ll have 20 hours coaching per week — a mixture of group (max 8:1 ratio) and one-on-one, allowing you to progress your skills quickly and confidently.
Additionally, each student is guaranteed a job interview with the Lake Louise Ski School with the possibility to return the following season and work as a Level 2 Qualified Instructor — so you could be closer to your dream job than you realise!
When you’re not on the piste you’ll be kicking back in Banff town, which is only a short ride away from the slopes and is always packed full of fellow snow enthusiast to befriend and party with!
As with any major ski resort, there’re heaps of restaurants, bars and entertainment to keep you stoked and busy when you’re not on the mountains — and if you can’t get enough of the snow you can always take a Friday night trip to the nearby Mount Norquay for some flood-lit night snowboarding!
“Such an incredible adventure — I’m already planning my return!”
On top of the included lift pass, you can also bolt on an optional Tri-Area pass that joins Lake Louise to Sunshine Village and Norquay. This gives you access to almost 8 000 acres, with an average of 33ft of snow — that’s more than anywhere else in the whole of Canada!
As well as an epic amount of snow you’ll be calling Banff town home — and your accommodation is based close to the action. Not only that, but you’ll be able to grab a good night’s kip in your double bed (twin share) with heaps of storage, free wifi, daily breakfast and even access to a hot tub, sauna and steam room.
Now that’s what we call an epic way to enter the snow industry!
